After a fun-filled day with friends, loads of food and drinks and a quick visit to the Madame Tussauds, day 2 of my Delhi weekend had a lot of leisure events involved. We started with a nice Brunch, followed by a visit to The Chanakya where we had deserts and tea accompanied by random chit-chat. After that, we went for a walk at Lodhi Gardens.
Lodhi Gardens is a park in New Delhi spread over 90 acres, the place is a scenic beauty. It contains several tombs, Mohammed Shah’s Tomb, Shisha Gumbad, Tomb of Sikandar Lodi and Bara Gumbad. The site is protected by the ASI (Archaeological Survey of India). These gardens are a good escape for someone wanting to catch fresh air or get away from city life for some moments. Although the place is pretty crowded in the evenings with people of all ages, you can still have some calm and peaceful moments to yourself. You will see people enjoying their walks & nature, playing with their pets, doing yoga, chatting with friends, doing photo shoots or just lying down and having some rest away from the city hustle.
After a good long walk at Lodhi Gardens, we moved to The All American Diner at India Habitat Centre, filled our tummies with some food (cause the walk made us all pretty hungry) before finally getting back home to end a beautiful weekend. Delhi, it was fun visiting you this last time and I hope to see more of you soon.
XOXO!!
